I remember Rell Sunn in my Botany class at Leeward Community Collegem that was taught by Dr. Horace Clay. It was a great class and she definitely added to the class and it was neat to meet a female surfer at that time, which got me interested in watching those surf contests.
Rell Sunn was and is a sterling human of Hawaiian spirit, great surfer, paddler, hula dancer and engaged in life with “enthios,” moving on this earth from the spirit within, touching everyone she met…
Thank you for putting on this music festival for a celebration of Rell, we all appreicate it, to take time to stop and remember “what one woman has done, we can do!”
